What inspired you to get into biking, and how did you end up at Savage Bicycles?
I got into cycling while I was in the military—it was a fantastic way to stay in shape and relieve stress. I ended up at Savage Bicycles when I needed some parts for one of my bikes. There, I connected right away with the staff, as many of them are retired military, just like me.
If you could design your dream bike, what features would it have and why?
As for my dream bikes, I’m lucky enough to already own them. My Salsa Cutthroat is my favorite for racing across the U.S., mastering all kinds of terrains without a hitch. Then there’s my Giant TCR SL, which, at under 16 pounds, is ideal for those days when I want to test my speed.
What’s your favorite biking memory or adventure, and what made it so special?
Adam cherishes two favorite biking adventures. Touring from Canada to Mexico down the Pacific Coast with his wife tops the list. A close second is participating in the Great American Wheel Race, a 3600-mile, coast-to-coast race that tests endurance and skill on mixed terrains.
If you could ride any trail or path in the world, where would it be and what’s the first thing you’d do once you got there?
In the future, I’d love to tour Europe and Australia with my wife. Cycling keeps me sane, and I relish the opportunity to explore new places.
What unique skill or hobby do you have outside of biking that makes you a great addition to the Savage Bicycles team?
Aside from biking, I’m passionate about traveling by bike and sharing my adventures in hopes of inspiring others to discover the joy I find in cycling.
