What inspired you to get into biking, and how did you end up at Savage Bicycles?
I’ve been riding bikes my whole life, but the turning point came with my first mountain bike, a Schwinn High Plains. From that moment on, I was hooked. Wanting to be self-sufficient, I taught myself how to maintain my bikes. Years of practice and knowing the right people eventually helped me secure a job at Savage Bicycles. I’m ever grateful to Janie for taking a chance and hiring me when she did.

If you could design your dream bike, what features would it have and why?
When it comes to dream bikes, I don’t really have one, but I thoroughly enjoy riding my Pivot Switchblade.

What’s your favorite biking memory or adventure, and what made it so special?
One of my favorite biking memories is a trip to Moab, UT, with some friends. We tackled trails like Capt Ahab, Porcupine Rim, and Amasa Back. It was fantastic to reconnect with old buddies, and those trails significantly improved my technical riding skills. Besides, it’s Moab!

If you could ride any trail or path in the world, where would it be and what’s the first thing you’d do once you got there?
Next on my bucket list is riding Gooseberry Mesa.

What unique skill or hobby do you have outside of biking that makes you a great addition to the Savage Bicycles team?
In my previous work in technical maintenance, I developed skills in troubleshooting and repairing systems. I’ve transferred those abilities to bike maintenance, where I identify problems and provide clients with effective solutions.
