What inspired you to get into biking, and how did you end up at Savage Bicycles?

The freedom to truly go wherever I wanted is what drew me to bikes. My wife and I moved to the Surprise area from Oregon, where I had run my own bike shop for over 16 years. Bikes are in my blood, and Savage Bicycles was the perfect place to continue pursuing my passion for working and riding.

If you could design your dream bike, what features would it have and why?
I’ve got my sights set on building a No22 Titanium gravel/bikepacking ride, loaded with all the bells and whistles—every bike enthusiast’s dream, right?

What’s your favorite biking memory or adventure, and what made it so special?

One of my fondest memories is riding everywhere with my boys when they were younger. We spent countless hours on the strands of Southern California, creating lasting memories and having a blast.

If you could ride any trail or path in the world, where would it be and what’s the first thing you’d do once you got there?
On my bucket list is a multi-month bike tour across Europe. I’d love to bikepack the entire way, savoring every mile.

What unique skill or hobby do you have outside of biking that makes you a great addition to the Savage Bicycles team?
When I’m not clocking miles on one of my bikes or grabbing a coffee, you can usually find me racing at the indoor R/C car track. I’ve been at it for over 40 years and thoroughly enjoy the competition and camaraderie of the sport. This long history has made me very clean and meticulous—qualities that translate well into the bike industry.
